Need a healthy, vegan snack at night to get you through the shift? I gotcha covered!

What about when only a crunchy vegan snack will do? I’ve got that covered too.

Here are some of my favorite vegan snacks to nibble during night shift and beyond.

Sweet Tooth

First things first!! Satisfy the sweet tooth and nobody gets hurt all night, right?

Justin’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups are amazing! These are my favorites. They are made with 100% organic peanut butter and Rainforest Alliance-certified chocolate. And are 100% vegan! To say these are healthy isn’t really stretching the truth at all.

ParTake are soft-baked cookies that delight the taste buds in three flavors: Chocolate Chip, Cookie Butter & Double Chocolate.

Fresh From Mother Nature

Don’t leave home without ’em: fresh foods like apples, carrots, celery, and bell pepper travel well and keep their crunch for days.

Add a few scoops of hummus and you’re set for a yummy–and very vegan–midnight snack.

And a few more ideas:

  • Edamame, snappy and delish
  • Roasted chickpeas, to curb the desire for crunch
  • Fruit and nut butter, savory and satisfying
  • Trail mix or mixed nuts, for a kick of protein

Not All Bars Are Created Equal

Drink Up!!

I probably don’t have to mention that avoiding Red Bull, sodas, and gallons of coffee (one or two cups is okay, just don’t overdo it every night) is smart. Here’s what you should pack to stay hydrated for the night shift:

Pick a green tea for early in your shift. Green tea has many health benefits–burning fat and increasing brain power–but it also has some caffeine, so consume sooner rather than later.

If you need an energy hit, try Yerba Maté tea. It has the kick of caffeine, the benefits of tea, and the decadence of chocolate all in one mouthful. This tea provides a smoother, less jittery energy boost than coffee.

Add Some Crunch
